Capturing your typeface
Now you are just one step away from taking your handwriting digital. To continue you need to take a picture of your completed template. Follow these tips to create a successful image and then submit it.
Camera setup
Use a high-resolution capture mode of at least 2 megapixels. Between 4 and 8 megapixels is ideal. Enable macro mode, also known as the little "flower" icon. This mode tells your camera to focus more closely on small details. Turn off the flash. This is important for even lighting.
Frame the picture
Make sure all borders and letters are clearly visible. Ensure lighting is even and no shadows are falling on the paper. Having trouble with shadows in your picture? Try this trick! Turn on your TV and let the static suck the template to the screen. Now turn off the TV. The template sticks and you can take your picutures without casting a shadow on the paper!
Use the LCD display to frame the picture. It works better for close-ups! Fill the entire screen to take advantage of the camera's resolution. Hold the camera steady and shoot! Take several pictures and choose the best to create your typeface.
